End users often request site-specific changes and extensions to the data model. Some of these requests are incorporated into the development process and included in future data model releases. However, other requests are customer-specific and may not be relevant to users of the broader data model.

Sharperlight can support and deliver these site-specific customizations using custom tables, custom fields, and custom joins. This section presents posts about custom tables.

Table customization allows new query objects to be added to the existing data model, appearing to the end user as if they were part of the core model. Customizations are maintained separately and can be exported and imported for migration purposes.
